Workshops on Natural Gardening in Alentejo

Workshop Structure:

• Day 1: A general introduction to Natural Gardening, covering fundamental principles that apply to all garden types.

 

• Day 2: Specialized sessions, where you’ll focus on your chosen topic—vegetable gardens, food forests, or ornamental gardens. This structure allows participants to attend multiple workshops without repeating the same foundational content.

With Wende as your facilitator, you’ll embark on an engaging journey to explore the art of Natural Gardening in Portugal. We will blend theory with hands-on experience, working directly in the gardens of Cento e Oito, a community near Colos. You’ll gain practical knowledge to help you bring your gardening vision to life.

By the end of this two-day workshop, you’ll know how to set up your own vegetable garden, food forest, or ornamental garden. You’ll also receive comprehensive documentation covering all topics discussed, plus a plant list suited for (southwest) Portugal.

 

Exchange for the two day workshop: €120, including lunch, coffee, and tea.

Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 April, 10:00 – 18:00 (vegetable garden)

Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 May, 10:00 – 18:00 (food forest)

Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 June, 10:00 – 18:00 (ornamental garden)

 

Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 September, 10:00 – 18:00 (food forest)

Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 October, 10:00 – 18:00 (vegetable garden)

Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 November, 10:00 – 18:00 (ornamental garden)
